  • What is CBD (Cannabidiol)?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a non psychoactive compound derived from European grown hemp plants. Cannabidiol (CBD), which is a CB2 antagonist, nourishes our cannabinoid receptors and cells, therefore assisting to regulate the endocannabinoid system, The endocannabinoid system has four major purposes: neuroprotection, stress recovery, immune balance, and homeostatic regulation.* *These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
  • Will CBD get you high?
No. CBD is non psychoactive and therefore it doesn't get you high. THC is the psychoactive component in marijuana responsible for the "high". Hemp contains a very low trace of THC in the plant itself and this is extremely low threshold is maintained and regulated to remain below 0.3% CBD does not act on the same pathways as THC and cannot possibly get you high.* *These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not inteded to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
  • Will I test positive for THC if I use Smart Organics CBD products?
The material we use is guaranteed to have the low legal guidelines of 0.3% THC for raw material. When the actual product goes through third party testing, no THC is detected in the products when tested in the lab. These test results are available to view on our website under the Quality Assurance page.
  • What are terpenes?
Terpenes are the aromatic and flavor compound in herbs, fruit, foods, etc. (Mangoes lavendar, cinnamon, coffee, for example, all get their unique aromas from terpenes). Using terpenes with CBD allows them to bind with cannabinoids and increase bioavailablity, maximizing the potency and effectiveness. For example, Smart Organics' Advance CBD oil 240mg with Terpenes contains 1 mg of ginko biloba derived terpene per serving. This is added to increase circulation and absoprtion, which may improve the effectiveness and taste of the products.* *These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. • What do the milligrams and percentages on the label mean?
The total milligrams of CBD per entire bottle is listed on front label. This is the number toward the bottom, followed by "mgs." The percentages are the standardized concentrative active CBD in the raw material used. We publish this information on our products voluntarily to provide further honest information for our customers.
  • Why can't you say what CBD is used for?
Due to FDA regulations, we are unable to make any medical recommendations or claims about CBD or our product containing CBD. It is important to always discuss and follow the recommendations made by your healthcare practitioner. As our disclaimer states, these statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administratio. This product is not inteded to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
  • Why does this product look different than the last one I bought?
To ensure the purity and organic content of the material used in Smart Organics products, we choose not to use any harmful emulsifiers, solvents, food colorings, or preservatives. Therefore, Smart Organics' CBD Oils may vary in color, aroma, and flavor, while natural settling may occur in solid products such as the CBD Relieving Salve. Again, this is due to the fact that Smart Organics products are derived and produced to have come from the most pure and natural material possible.
  • What is "full spectrum" CBD Oil?"
Full Spectrum CBD Oil means the product will contain more of the natural occuring phytochemicals of the hemp plant. Our ouls derived from the 7.9% and 14.15% are considered to be full spectrim and therefore closer to nature. These oils go through less of a refinement process during the third phase of the super critical co2 extraction process. This third phase is what renders the 18.5% material of any chlorophyll and excess plant matter. Oils made from the 18.5% are therefore a more isolated form of CBD, containing more CBD. but less companion phytochemicals. One is not better then the other, as they both provide their recptive purposes. Preference is simply up to the biochemical nature of every unique individual, and thier doctor's recommendations.
